Shankar Krishnan

Shankar Krishnan received his Bachelor's degree (B. Tech.) in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras in 1991. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in 1993 and 1997, respectively. In 1997, he joined AT&T Research Labs as a Senior Technical Staff Member. His main research interests are 3D algorithms, computer graphics, geometric and solid modeling, computer algebra and robust geometric computation. He is a member of the SIAM activity group on geometric design. He is one of the co-founders of the 3dLab in AT\&T Research which has pioneered work on the integration of video signal processing and 3D graphics, such as realtime 3D model synthesis from HDTV cameras.
